sketch stretch

I had to turn off the NY Mets game A week before the Playoffs and they're getting shelacked by the Braves and Pedro is getting rocked..not fun...just too painful. I thought I'd do something a bit more constructive than the urge to throw empty water bottles at my TV, so here's some recent and not so recent sketches. The sketch signed 'Lefty' was drawn with my left hand. I've got a few drawings I've done that way. Some people will likely say I should try to just draw better with my regular drawing hand, but sometimes switching things around frees you up a bit.

YOu should submit your emoticons to one of the insant messengers...

Also, using your left hand is always a good excercise...I'm typing with my left hand right now.

You should try using your feet, too; I tried it a couple times at a figure drawing session.

Dan:Hey, I didn't even think of these guys of Emoticons, but, I guess they could be! They were done as just smiley faces...As for using my feet to draw, well, I'm actually typing this now with my toes.

Jesse:Thanks, man! Yeh, the left hand is definitely not 'strong' enough, or confident enough, to make a darker line!

Charles:Thank ya brudda! We all wish Jesse had something to post!

Frogdaddy:I was sweatin' that game out today! (listened on ESPN radio..even stayed 'til the bitter end at the job, after everyone else had left, so I could hear the whole thing and not wind up losing the signal, once I walked into the Port Authority!) The last few days with all the pitching concerns..friggin' not Duque! But Maine and the bullpen came thru and the offense did it's thing..but it's just game one! and..thanks!

so much for the subway series, eh J-Dawg?
Good luck to your team-they certainly deserve to be there....was wondering if you picked up the new Sean Lennon yet....I got it from itunes, expecting the dvd to come with it, but alas, no...
love it though...as well as the new Beck, but
he could be blowing armpit farts for 14 tracks and i'd buy that album too...

Yeh...Sorry 'bout your Yanks..don't know what happened to them..I really expected them to bounce back in game 4, but Torre should have had Wang ready to go on short rest...maybe next year...but I'm psyched about the Mets, yeh..thanks.

Got the new Sean Lennon w/ the DVD...it's really good - and I dig the album alot, even though it could have another four tunes on it. Haven't heard the Beck yet...I'll have to download it!
