I like the lettering. You should come up with your own fonts and then sell them.

Seriously- you should come up with some fonts- that could be your new business. Then you could quit the fashion industry forever. forever
forever

I know I've got an old piece of paper from High School where I came up with my own alphabet..but it was pretty basic..just new shapes replacing our own alphabet..more of a code, I guess.

Dude, your sketchbook's chock full of these aliens and monsters and other assorted anomalies. Hehe...I'm gonna come over and purposely draw some Hawaiian Hula dancers or some Rembrandt replica or just some plain Elmo & Cookie Monster! :) These look great, I love your rich, clean ink lines. And the pencils look great too. I dig your new alphabet.

Thanks, Jess! Really appreciated...looks like I really should start working on an alphabet for real!

Hey, you can draw whatever you like..! How about Elmo and Cookie Monster as Hula Dancers done in a Rembrandt style!

so you made up this language?
that's very Tolkienesque.
Nice Inks Justin!
what's the size of the page?
just interested.

Page size is 7.5"W X 8" H.

I didn't really make up any language..I just drew some shapes that are my kind of sci-fi fantasy asianesque lettering that don't actually mean anything.

Thanks for the push..I've actually done a bunch of drawings lately, but nothing I was too happy with or ready to post...soon...! I sometimes need that gentle reminder. Helps to know that someone is actually looking at this blog!!

Yeah, same with me; feel free to remind me anytime.

yeah Justin what gives? we're all throwing shit up but you! you used to be the most prolific of us all! what happened? did marriage soften your pencil? does being in love (legally at least) lessen your desire for kickass monsters?
did living in sin bring out the artist in Justin?
how many licks DOES it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
the world may never know.
