Robot Vs Monster

Just some sketchbook doodling...this started out as the idea last week for a short strip with the title seen here, along with the two head sketches of the 'contestants'..I only came up with the name for the robot...Motaar The Indestructable. I came back to it and added the last two panels, just to give it a comic-book feel. I wasn't intending for the last two panels to be continuity...but it sort of works like that..another reason why the combatants are different in the panels.

I don't understand what's going on in that last frame... is the monster blowing the robot?

Yep! Good observation.

Actually, I kinda noticed that after the fact...I did a drawing similar to this many years ago that wound up having the same effect..I just initially wanted to have a big guy in front of a small guy and show that scale..but my placement of the small guy isn't right.

"my placement of the small guy isn't right."...that depends on whether or not you're the "small guy" or not. nudge-nudge, wink-wink

I am most definitely not the 'small guy'...in this drawing at least!

justin..you gotta do a full-fledged book, man...
you've got a great black & white pulp style-dude...love the stuff!
one question, though-what is the robot's dick saying in the last panel?
I don't understand the written japanese.

Aww, Glenn, man, thanks! ..but I gotta do like two continuous pages first!

It was actualy supposed ta be the little guy in front saying the stuff in the word balloon..but it's just my made-up-gibberish characters..supposed to mean something like 'Oh Shit!'
