uh...WTF! with a name like invader he looks pretty immobile!

but really,as always, great inking and shading techniques through out all your monster posts! why 23? seems a very specific #?

and i think we need some new blogger buddies as we are the only mofo's left who seem to post or comment on a semi-regular basis anymore!!!

Yo Jason!

Hey, man..thanks for the posts...OK..the origin of the name Invader...ok, first off, yes, he does look slightly immobile, but were I to do a drawing looking up at his underside, you'd see thousands of tiny little centipede like feet that can propel his fairly hefty girth across short distances at great speed. Upon feasting on human flesh, he gets another burst of energy and can go even further, always on the lookout for sustenance.

....as for his name, he reminded me a bit of one of the aliens from the remake of Invaders From Mars, which were designed by Stan Winston. Here's a link to a pic:

The reason for 23 in this series? Nothing other than that I'm fascinated by the number 23 (and way before the movie with Jim Carrey came out)...it's a very mysterious number. I've kept lists that involve that number for years...

And, yes, some of the other guys need some serious updating on their blogs!! I still check in on them almost daily...always hopeful of seeing something new. C'mon guys, throw us a bone!!!

Hey Jason,
Thanks for including me in that list- I was just about to say- I post and comment all the time...
I have 3 new figure drawings on there now...

Justin,
This is a good one- great inking- like Charles Burns.

Thanks, Dan...Love Charle's Burns inks, so I'll take that as a high compliment!

PS not that I'd EVERRRRRRR compare myself to Charles Burns!! I'm not worthy...! (bowing...)

justin - so on top of everything else you collect you've got lists in relation to the #23!!? wow!

when i first saw invader i thought it looked like the queen bug from starship troopers-best b-movie ever!

dan - yeah,i didn't forget you! you're good with the posts! and i can't blame you for not remembering me from haddad. i'm still trying to wipe that place clean from my memory!

Well, the lists are just my scribblings on post-it notes and bits of paper...when I see things in the newspaper or internet or something that happened during the day.

I can see the Queen from Starship Troopers in there, sure..has that bit of insectoid body styl
