Carlos...VEGA! (aka May-Day) - Thanks a lot man...you inspired me to continue on this piece after you saw the beginnings of it and your backgrounds inspired me with the pattern background on this one...I had a lot of fun working on this and, while I've got my reservations with parts of it, I think it's a step in the right direction for me. ie color and painted. I hope to do more as time goes on.Jason - First off, thanks, man! Again, the comments from you guys is what keeps me going. It means a lot to me to hear what you've got to say and it's highly appreciated. I tried some experimenting with techniques..just some trial and error. It's all a learning process - and I've got a lot to learn! To answer your questions - Vega would be our friend Mr. Carlos Vega (see above)...you can check ot his blog (SleeperProjectX) on my links and see where I was inspired by his backgrounds. As for the title of the piece..hmm, it just kinda came to me in a dream! Thanks again bruthas in art.
Nicely done! The background works really well. I like it.
That Deviant Art Site looks pretty cool- do you have to pay to be on it?
Thanks, Dan! The Deviant art site is free, but they do have subscriptions if you want more features. Check it out, it's pretty swell.
