Facebook Fridayz - 4

Technically this is Facebook Fridayz 5, but I never posted last weeks drawing of Jason from Friday the 13th. Maybe one day I'll get around to putting it up. I wasn't entirely happy with it (not that I'm entirely happy with anything I do!), so unless you're a Facebook friend of mine, that's the only place you're gonna see it for now! Here's this weeks quick pencil sketch. Soon as I get a little time, I'm going to ink this one up. I realized after I'd drawn it, though, I'd left off his chains!

inks and a little photoshop.

looks great as is man! the chains mighta been overkill. even if they are part of his uniform. like that he's a more bone-y looking ghost rider, without the big broad muscles and shoulders. mnore ghostly and scary. cool shading fx with the back lighting and minimal flaming skull.

not on facebook (and prob never will be!!!) so i'll wait patiently for your jason/friday the 13th pic.

Thanks, Jason! I always wondered what filled up his costume below the neck! Certainly looked cool, but didn't make sense if his body was just bones...maybe it was 'flame' muscle. I might go back to the Friday the 13th pic and ink it, but it wasn't my best. I used a photo that I realized half-way thru drawing it, wasn't from any of the movies, but was of one of McFarlane's toys!!! So, it was stiffer than I would have liked. I should have just done my own style take on it, but went a little too literal. We'll see! But thanks again!

wow man ghost rider looks sick! nicely finished Justin.
i still think you would have been a great graffiti artist you should give it a try, that type looks right out of "wild style".

Hey, thanks, Carlos!! I do dig doin' the lettering and all...my first graffitti influence was back in High School...in one of the classrooms, someone had drawn these characters on the top of the wall - all across, pretty big...so I copied them and developed a style based on that...it was a huge influence, those few drawings, come to think of it. It migrated into my own character, William Keeper of the Cosmic All.

Whoa, that Ghost Rider is sweet, Justin!!! Totally agree with Jason's comments... like the lean, boney Ghost Rider.
